Terms of Use
Last updated: March 13, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CodeCleaner ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of the App
CodeCleaner is a macOS utility that scans your file system for developer-related caches, build artifacts, and temporary files (such as Xcode DerivedData, node_modules, Docker images, Rust/Cargo caches, Python virtualenvs, and Gradle builds) and allows you to selectively remove them to reclaim disk space.
License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or professional purposes on any Mac that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the files and data you choose to delete using CodeCleaner. Before removing any items, please review the scan results carefully. Specifically:
- Always verify the items selected for deletion before confirming the operation.
- Maintain adequate backups of any important data before using the App.
- Understand that deleted files may not be recoverable once removed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer of CodeCleaner be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damage to your computer system, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including all intellectual property rights, are and shall remain the exclusive property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code.
App Store Terms
If you downloaded CodeCleaner from the Mac App Store, you also agree to Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by updating this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
